In this workshop you will:

~Learn how to safely and effectively use the foam roller and other tools to reduce muscle/joint pain and improve tissue health and muscle balance

~Practice applying Self-Myofascial Release techniques as you follow a few pre/post workout and recovery sequences led by instructor Brian Witten

~Melt into a deeper space of physical and mental relaxation with a special guided movement and meditation practice

 

The foam roller is a tool that can provide many benefits to the body. We use our bodies every day in one way or another. How we use our bodies determines where we feel our aches and pains, and even where injuries are likely to arise in those who use them more vigorously. Regular tissue release is one simple way to keep the muscles and joints in optimal health. With some practice, a simple 5-minute self-myofascial release (SMR) session will improve ease and efficiency in physical activity and sport. Aches and pains from desk posture and other daily activities can be reduced with a little attention at home on a regular basis.

 

Join Brian for a special self care workshop where you will learn effective methods of self-myofascial tissue release that will help you feel better in your body every day. This class will also introduce some easy practices that promote relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, and create balanced internal health with daily acupressure and trigger point release.
